Sculpt Less (4.10.12)
For the past few years there has been no particular moment that I recall of just feeling rhythmically free on demand. It just happens. When it does it's fabulous. If it's forced it's no good, too restricted from thinking too much. Whether it be musical rhythms or lyrical rhymes with a kick to them it doesn't matter. Which has been said a lot.
I've found that the creative process is not one to sculpt or assign a structure to. Just the opposite is true. The creativity sculpts and structures you. Whether you know it or not. If you fight it then it fights back and wins. It, as in creativity, can shut itself off from you if it dislikes how you play the game.
Even then I thought too much and took too long to get back on track. But I returned with a slap in the face. A reminder to just let go and be sculpted by the hands of the creative self. At the end of the day there comes a sweet sense that there can always be something to set me straight even when it's myself. - Tajlyn
