Tis been a crazy week! Musically the satisfaction has been laking, but not to fret. There is a change in that utterly disgusting taste of dullness. Here's a recap...

Winter showed up early and unexpectedly. It all started Friday when I was to play a show in Oakland but could not make the trip. Too much snow and ice for a safe return. This lasted for a few days, but caught everyone off guard when it warmed up then froze over. There were still places to go, so I thought.

Monday, I greeted the main road sliding sideways while driving to a destination to earn the "mean green". Then, while strolling the hilly mountains I was whisked off track to be merely inches away from participating in the steepest "car-sled ride" ever. It was a scary ride for me and Esy (that's my car). Luckily, we were rescued by some amazing people. Turns out they've been helping people escape the mad ice bath all day, and it was only one o'clock. Hats off to them!

Meanwhile, deciding not to trek any further for the safety of myself and others, I informed my absence to the proper people and went home. There was only one more call to me that ended the connection between me and that destination. Which was made the next day. Unfortunate, to some, not others. It was a bit of both for me. It felt bitter to be canned, but I now have a new plan.

I am going to play way more shows with way more people playing way more instruments. In other words I am challenging myself to take my multi-instrumental abilities and use them to help other musicians out. It might take a while, but I think that would be the coolest thing to be able to play a full night of music collaborations (depending on if the styles fit). I did one show where I jumped in on bass for a band, played my set, then all the acts had a random jam session to finish the night. Of course now there would be a practice before hand to get the songs just right. That's what I want to do. So I'm going to make it happen. know of any musicians who need a guitar, bass, keys, drummer, or back up singer?
